All kinds of people gather at our church.
Neighbors from right around the corner, and visitors who have traveled from far away,
people from Asia, South America, and many other cultural backgrounds,
newborn babies and beloved elders past the age of ninety,
children bursting with curiosity, people full of energy,
and those who simply want a quiet place to rest a while,
Christians who come seeking a time of prayer,
as well as those who say, "I don't plan to become a believer, but I'd like to talk,"
or "I'd like to study the Bible simply to broaden my knowledge,"
This is a place where people gather beyond the boundaries of occupation, address, age, gender, or culture — where people who would never otherwise meet in daily life encounter one another, and, respecting each other,
offer worship together . . .
That is what a church is.
